World's Toughest Canoe Race

  • Martial Way Legacy 1812 Payton Gin Road Austin, Texas, 78758 United States (map)

We wish Guro Larry St. Clair, Coach Sonja St. Clair, and their teammate Kenney Howitt the best of luck as they take on the legendary Texas Water Safari beginning Friday, June 12th!

Known as the "World's Toughest Canoe Race," the Texas Water Safari is an incredible 260+ mile endurance challenge that starts in San Marcos and finishes in Seadrift on the Texas coast. Racers must navigate rivers, lakes, dams, rapids, portages, wildlife, sleep deprivation, changing weather conditions, and over 100 hours of nonstop paddling and determination.

This race tests not only physical endurance but also teamwork, mental toughness, problem-solving, and perseverance under some of the harshest conditions imaginable.

Please join us in cheering on Team Canoe Hut Already as they represent our community in one of the world's most demanding races. We are proud of their dedication, preparation, and willingness to embrace such an incredible challenge.

Good luck, Larry, Sonja, and Kenney! Paddle hard, stay safe, and enjoy the adventure!
