The Shift: From Patient Planning to Powerful Execution

Recently, we shared Week One and Week Two of our Topic of the Month on Transition, which coincided with the Chinese New Year as the Year of the Snake became the Year of the Horse. If you missed them both, click the links above to see where we left off. Here in Week Three, we dive deeper into the characteristics of the Horse and the Snake and how each can serve as a dot on our road map toward success during this time.
The Snake is extremely calm and calculated with its movements. It waits, observes, and takes time in preparation before it strikes. In contrast, the Horse gets into motion quickly, which is the perfect moment where preparation turns into action. With every step, the Horse accelerates with strength and freedom because it loves being in motion.
The preparation of the Snake and the action of the Horse during this transition gives us confidence and belief that our path is the best direction toward reaching our goals, bringing us an untapped well of endurance for the journey ahead. We’ve spent long enough watching, thinking, and calculating. Now is the time to put our plans into action. We are meant to move and perform. So what better time than now? If something is holding you back, just ask yourself WWBLD, or What Would Bruce Lee Do? He’d say, “To hell with circumstances; I create opportunities.”
Each month, we develop Character Development Topics that break growth into weekly, accessible ideas. These lessons and more are available on our YouTube Channel, Facebook, and Instagram.
