The Hardest Part of Growth No One Talks About

Recently, we shared Week One of our Topic of the Month on Transition, which coincided with the Chinese New Year as the Year of the Snake became the Year of the Horse. In Week Two, we explore the often difficult transition and how experiencing it is normal and healthy.

The space between the Snake and the Horse represents a neutral zone where the old has ended, but the new is not yet clear. This phase can be uncomfortable and frustrating, yet it is a critical stage in transition. Discomfort signals positive growth as your brain adapts, reorganizes, and prepares you for change. As William Bridges said, “Transitions are not endings, but beginnings in disguise.” Embracing this period allows you to grow and move forward.

Each month, we develop Character Development Topics that break growth into weekly, accessible ideas. These lessons and more are available on our YouTube Channel, Facebook, and Instagram.

Stay tuned for upcoming insights on TRANSITION and other topics. Subscribe to our newsletter or follow us on social media for regular updates.
